you’r not at all crazy! when we go 4 wheeling with the atvs we take rain gear and a jacket “just incase” something brakes and we have to wait for help. we know people that could come help. but it would be at least a 30 to 45 min wait or longer. have stuff to make a fire as well. we really really don’t think anything is going to happen but you never ever know.

Exactly. Be careful who you tell about your preps as well. You don't want every slinging dick coming your way to get your supplies.

The best way to get rid of unwanted ppl is to, well, be heartless.it is not your responsibility to help everyone out. just help those you can.you are not Dr. quin medicine woman. Dont help if it puts you and yours at risk.
In every apocolyps style drama ive seen on tv, they always try to help someone, and it gets them in more shit than they need to be in. and makes them use thier supplys that they will need in the future.

No problem. I do not have seat heaters in my truck so I cant say first hand how that would work. I would say that I dont think it would be a problem for the heat transfer. The seat feels pretty much the same as before, I have not noticed a difference in comfort. It is not slick as the material is textured and provides somewhat of a grip. If you want a closeup i'll get one tomorrow. Here is a sample of what the material is like.

I definitely need to get some more bags. Ive already found so many things (fishing/hunting/camping) related to throw into those pouches. I was thinking they came with 6 bags per seat but its only 6 bags total so just keep that in mind.

Yes and no. I try to always be "prepared." Or, at least as much as possible. I keep basic first aid supplies, rope, a couple knives, always at least one firearm, extra clothes, etc in my truck. However, I've never had the opinion that if society has some sort of major collapse I would take off and head for the hills. Staying at home where I have a stable roof, weapons, and supplies seems to be a much better option.

I pretty much plan the things in my truck as "get everyone home safely" items. In the event SHTF (I hate using this term but it applies as a generalization to bad events), all I want to do is get home to my family.

Their $30 bags are good for the price. The zipper on them is lacking and kin of hard to use but for the price it can be overlooked.

The stuff I keep in my truck is what I could use to get me home an I consider my bag a GHB (get home bag). I have nowhere to bug out to so that is pretty much out of the question.
