My truck started sputtering on acceleration lately, the engine sounded choppy kinda. I took my truck to a transmission shop because I thought the transmission was giving me problems. Turns out there was nothing wrong with the transmission. The guy told me my truck was giving me A P0300 code (Random Misfire/Multiple Cylinders). I changed the plugs and checks the coil packs, everything looked fine. I read online that it could be a leak in the exhaust manifold, but I have K&N Cold Air Intake. Anyone think the intake could be causing me to get this code. Or any other clues.

Mass airflow sensor could be causing the problem. Will cause fuel system to go lean. Could be from over oiling the k&n filter or dirt passing thru filter and contaminating sensor. Try cleaning the sensor.

MAF is located in the intake tube. Remove it any spray the sensor end that goes into the tube with brake cleaner or electronics cleaner. Let it dry and reinstall.
