Ouch man, sorry to see that

how fast were you going when you hit?

My first accident went a lot like yours, except I was 16 (3 years ago).
I wasn't paying attention and rear ended a small car, the dummy I am didnt take pictures, so i can post any, but I hit the guy going under 20, nothing happened to my truck, insurance totaled the jetta.....

the winch guard is why i didn't have damage

OP, sorry to hear about that. Glad everyone was ok!

I'm also glad to hear you're manning up to your mistake instead of trying to blame it on something or someone else. Better to get the shitty feelings over with and move on.

    Good luck!

Yup, just got it recently. New wheels and tires last weekend, I have 5100s on the way, was looking forward to getting my truck just the way I wanted it (for the time being at least), then this happens. Well at least I should get a whole new front end out of this.

Might have the body shop trim my front fenders for me when it all gets put back together, I am sure than can do a better job than I can with a Dremel.

Holy shit, the price for that bumper is no joke. But it seems worth it.

Accidents suck but the important thing is everyone's OK and as long as it's just stuff; stuff can be fixed.

Do like I did, have the Ins. Co. pay U for the repairs then pay shop minus the bumper. My est. for a bumper was $1300, so thats plenty enuff for aftermarket, which I have a Relentless on order

Thought about doing something like this, however I like the look of the color match bumper, really have no need for an upgraded aftermarket bumper (I don't plan on getting in any more accidents), and the shop and insurance company are dealing directly with each other.

The only additional mods I have planned for the front are possibly a new grill and the BHLM. However this little accident, with my deductible, is going to dig into my mod money for a while.

Still haven't heard from the shop yet though, I will see what they have to say when hey get back to me, supposed to hear from them tomorrow.

Damn that really sucks man, glad you are okay, surprised air bags did not go off, judging by the damage i think they would. Do you know how fast you were going?
