Good Service at Dealership!

So as some of you know, my wheel off the other night.

I had it towed to the dealership, I called the day after and I had some asshole talk about my wheel spacers for 10 minutes before I hung up, then today I went in to grab some things out of my truck and talk to a real service advisor..

It went great. The first thing the guy asked me after he pulled up my truck and what happened was that I was alright and no one else wrecked. He then told me they already installed a new rotor and ordered factory lug nuts to replace all the "cheap auto zone" ones as he said that were on my truck. He then took me out back to my truck, and after complimenting what I've done with it, he asked about all the parts I put on and what kind of off roading I like to do. He told once the lug nuts come in they will torque everything down real good for me and that if I ever have any problems or concerns to call him directly and he gave me his card.

This along with the conversation I had with the parts guy there last month when I was ordering the parts for my diff breather mod make me love this dealership. The parts guy said he has an FJ with 35's front and rear lockers and suggested I go to Uwharrie sometime.

why did the wheel fall off? Broke off? Unscrewed?

 

the lugnuts were too short and had closed endcaps. the service tech showed me how the washers had just a tiny amount of play in them, so all the torque was on the threads and not actually on the wheel.

Why would you put cheap Autozone junk on a brand new truck. I guess it is true that you get what you pay for.

 

honestly I thought lug nuts were lug nuts. I learned my lesson though, hopefully the factory ones will do the job.

 

I will be there, camping and all! I just got word from work I got the whole time off

Also my birthday is on the 20th, so hopefully some beers and a campfire will happen (I'm about 99% sure it won't be a problem..)

I can't wait to test out my sliders!
