Does anyone know of a good place to get OEM parts. I have an 08 Tacoma and it broke the car jack for it and Toyota wanted almost $300 for it. I saw it on ebay for $80, but cant find it now.

    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks

The only way to get them for "cheap" is to find them used - eBay, Craigslist, etc...

If you want them new, but at a slightly discounted price, check out www.toyotapartsales.com or www.TRDParts4U.com - great people to work with!

Try a bottle jack from Lowes or Home Depot

I bought a 5 ton bottle jack for $50 at Home Depot not too long ago. You dont need one that big but try to find one that will fit where the old jack was at.

A junkyard will have a good supply of OEM jacks that they pull from cars.

Does anybody know if the 2nd Gen Tacoma shares it's bottle jack with any other cars?

If it does share a jack then that will only make finding one easier for the OP.

These guys are right - if you are solely looking for a bottle jack, there are tons of them around.

As they said, junkyards will be your best.

However, I agree with the idea of just getting a new bottle jack from Lowe's or Home Depot. I got one from Lowe's to keep in my '85 4Runner and it was great.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
I agree with the others a bottle jack would be better than the OE anyway. I'm not excited about the crank jack my 09 came with. I tried it once just to test it out. I may just replace with a same size from Lowes, Home Depot, Sears, ?
