vibration-growl heard at 900-1100rpm

2007 dc,lb,4x4


in cab,i've been hearing a low growl type vibration from pass. floor area,after looking around for about a week,and 3 trips to the dealer,(the mechanic heard it) could not determine what or where it was.

so they have me set up for the trans mount tsb(i think ,just to try something)

yesterday,at work,we were looking at it,and a guy a work with was lightly pounding on the air intake tube,and that was the noise,

the plastic cover over the engine,right where it goes over the air intake, was vibrating, plastic to plastic ,and the air box was like an echo chamber..

putting on some weather strip foamalong the edge..hope that works

Some people rotate that tube where it screws down to the airbox so it puts enough tension on it to prevent vibration.

Mine already had extra weatherstrip on it when I purchased

 

Interesting--do you have any pics of the area you are talking about was vibrating?
