Hey guys, I'm writing an article for FloatWays.com about towing a boat, auto transmission versus manual...

Any of you guys have a high-quality photo of a Taco towing a boat or a Jet Ski that I can use for the article.

I was looking in the Toyota Pressroom for editorial shots, but couldn't find any of the Tacoma towing.

If so, please send me the photo to ---> innovator_now "at" yahoo.com and write a little note describing the photo and allowing me to use it.

    Thanks, Danny

there are tons of guys on here with towing pics. i know the 4x4 himself is an avid boater and ive seen a few of his pics. a lot of others too. i think there is some thread specific stuff i can dig up for you, but the best thing for you to do is search and bump this thread when the members list is higher. im sure you'll get good participation for it.

Oh, this is great. Yes, thanks. Could you please email me the 3rd shot? (IMAG0401.jpg) - The forum compresses the photo even more than it should. I'll let you know when the article is up too. Thanks, Danny (innovator_now@yahoo"dot"com)

Hi jgwheeler17 - Yeah, I've ran into a few threads with good photos. But I can't just go and take them. I started this thread to see if someone would give me permission to use a photo. Tacobo just did.

If I need some more I can always contact the people that posted the other photos and see If they like me use one. -D

EDIT: I'll give you that. I should've posted in the towing section O.O - That I just found out existed. :s

yeah dude it's cool. i just figured the way for you to get the best picture would be to find the one you like the most and just pm them for it. . . .but tacobo did bite the hook first, and those are kickass pictures. . . anyway, just trying to help where i can..... carry on.

    BUMP!

Hey guys, I published the article!

tacobo... Thanks so much for the photo. I used it. Ford actually provided the main photo, but I used the Taco pic in the middle of the article. If you click on it, it will zoom as well.

    Again thanks.

    Here's the article:

    http://floatways.com/1231/boat-trailer-towing-manual-vs-automatic-transmission/

One thing... It's a very general article about towing boats, manual vs automatic. I didn't go too in detail because it would've been too long.

Comments on the article are GREATLY appreciate it. They need to spam approval, but I do that often during the day.

    Thanks, Danny

    EDIT:

I got my ass handed back to myself by some commenter on the article. o_O But, OK, I respect that. The comment is on the page and I appreciate the insight. I wish the commenter had left their name. It adds more value to the comment than "somebody" does.

I'm better on the water than I am on land. Still not a bad article. Haha

Thanks tacobo. I'd rather not argue so I accepted the comment. I agree the article could have been longer and more detailed, but I was aiming to keep it general in nature.

Plus, if it sounded like I'm promoting automatics, that's all wrong anyway. I prefer manuals 90% of the time. :)

No offense to you as you were the first to bite with the thread but I would have liked to have seen a Tacoma pulling something a little more substantial that a jet ski... Like this...

Tacobo-nice looking truck by the way..

Hey MAXTacoma... Is that your photo? If it is... Can I used it? I'll post it on the article.

It's not a magazine print. :) I can add, change stuff, etc, etc.

Also, if you guys wanna help. Posting a comment at the bottom of the post is good. I already got my ass handed to me there, some support would be great. Haha.

    Thanks, Danny

Thanks guys... I've been meaning to update the article with some of these new photos, but I've been busy covering the America's Cup World Series in San Diego. I should be doing the update when I finish the AC story. So likely, early during the week.
