Anybody done an artic/icelandic truck build?

anybody in the US done an artic/icelandic truck build? these trucks look so fat and sweet.....thinking that could be a cool way to go. Let's hear and see what you got!

 

I don't think anyone does here in the states. If I remember correctly, Artic Trucks doesn't sell just parts. They require to install the parts themselves.
It would be cool if they would sell their upgrade packages as parts only.

 

They look badass but I don't think anybody here really needs that stuff. Some of the mods are permanent and I'm sure some of that stuff isint DOT approved.

sorry about that stubbs. anyway...maybe a pseudo artic build....just some nice fat fender flares that blend into the front...then you could run some nice 35's on 16 x 12.50...without a ton of lift. Wouldn't have to be so radical....and yet look great and well balanced to the eye. I just did an excursion lift on 37's...it's a big truck ....so it really needed to be on 37's at least....if not 40's. But the tacoma would like great on 35's if set up right. I will research it some. I might know someone who could fab up something similar to what the artic trucks are like.

For most everyone in the US, a truck configured that way serves no purpose whatsoever.

 

I bet those tires could float you're entire truck. Put a propeller on the hitch and you can go anywhere you want.

I am talkin more like post 74 in the sticky of "fender flares"......more of a toned down american version of the arctic truck. Just a well balanced fat lookin truck....without all the lift of american trucks.

seems weird to mount a gun on the outside of a truck, especially a truck that is in such cold temperatures....

 

yep..........two great examples. just thinkin the 1st may be more doable and usable here in the US. I am gonna research it some and see what i can come up with.

Yeah considering the 2nd one is a Hilux and would be hard to get your hands on.
