Nice! I guess if I ever find myself in that predicament and decided to go OEM, I would try to get one of the nice 2012 mirrors with built in blinkers. I really like your approach of using the right tool for the job, I sometimes get flack because of that, but I hate hack jobs! And I like buying new tools

Good job, but no body damage, it seems ripping off the antenna and mirror there would have been some body damage?

Never in my life have I seen anything like that "precision tool" that looks like scissors, I need to find me a pair of those!

great writeup, i learned alot. think i will invest in some of those harbor freight pry tools, i can think of so many times i "should have" used something like that and used a screwdriver instead, and nicked or bent what i was working on. thanks for the heads up.

 

This was a tremendously helpful write-up.

My passenger mirror took a hit in November and thanks to this write up, the replacement was one of the most quick and painless projects (and I've done many) I've ever done on a vehicle.

Nice job. I just replaced my wifes mirror on her 08 Sienna and these look the same.Not an easy job great write up.
