Anyone custom mount a CB radio in their truck? I have a 2005 access cab and want to put a CB radio in it but wanted to see how other people might have installed theirs to look nice and clean. Thanks, Rob

Mounted mine in the glove box, but it's because the CB radio I selected is long.

I mounted mine behind the center console. There's really not many options for mounting a full sized radio.

I've seen some that mount them under the drivers seat. Only part that sucks is that it would be a hassle to change the channel and you might kick it while driving, if you're a one foot kinda guy...

Also, i found this on another forum, but maybe this could be an okay spot...

this works out nice and does not interfere with anything. You can hear it perfectly in this location and you dont have to take your eyes off the road when viewing what channel you are on.

No pictures right now, but I have the cobra 75. All the controls are on the handset and all you really have to mount is a small box behind the dash/headliner/under seat etc. The only point of this box is all the wires go to, it has no knobs or buttons.

Also have the cobra 75, thinking it will be living in the console with the box part mounted to the back of the center console. Regular cab so no one will be back there kicking it & IIRC, it fits within the back cover of the console. There was a thread with this type install somewhere in here recently.....

Here it is, lots of options. Cobra 75 console mount pics are in post #6. Nice in dash install of it in post#1 also. I don't have that dash piece like that, cool place tho.....
