hey guys i bought my truck used with a lift that was "factory installed." i was wondering if anyone knew what type of lifts toyota would install from the factory. I took my truck to the local lift shop and he told me that it did not have a lift, he stated that it looked like a trd lift but i know that trd uses billsteins and this lift isnt billsteins. He said it didnt have a lift because there were no blocks or spacers used. (but i know that lift can be achieved other ways) Its clearly got some type of lift because i'm using 285/65R18 tires right now. I was wondering if anyone could give some suggestions on what they thing i have. It looks like i have some type of aftermarket coils and shocks but thats just a theory of mine.

The shocks in the pic look yellow but they are white. The rear also has white shocks and no block.. possibly an add a leaf? idk lol any help is great :)

added some better pics of the suspension :)

Probably a tuff country spacer/block lift combo. Just from what i have seen my local dealer install. Check on the top of the coilover is there a black hockey puck looking object? The rear end probably has a small metal block under the rear leaf springs.
Like the thing that says revtek in the top of the coilbucket.

Edit: i probably should have read the post before opening the pictures lol. I just say a yellow looking shock so i assumed...
Your probably right in it being an add a leaf then. Maybe call the dealer?

maybe OME springs, look at how many coils are on there. Could be 884, or the longer 885 which can acheive enought lift for 285 tires. the shocks are procomp, and you def have an AAL.

this may be dumb but how many springs does each one have? like 884 = ? and 885 = ?... i was thinking the shocks looked like procomp and noticed i have an extra leaf from doing some more looking around at people's stock leaf packs.. just cant tell with the durn coils..

and i saw this on someone's build threat but cant remember who's.. since my lift has been on since it was made in '05 and its got right at 140k miles on it... its safe to say its sagged some right? and if so how would i be able to fix this? new coils? spacers to pick it back up?

New coils, try to avoid using spacers, they cause weird suspension angles and can lead to shit breaking. Depending on your budget there are many many many ways to do your suspension, its all about what you want to do. I do however recommend replacing your shocks if you plan on doin some suspension work. For one the procomps are pretty crappy (pissed at myself for buying this kit haha) and two depending on how long the lift has been on they may be pretty tired.

Yeah I was thinking of going with the rcd lift (I love that look) but I'm a college student with a part time job delivering pizza so that's not really in the budget right now lol.. In the meantime I was thinking of getting the billys on all four corners with the eibach coils lift. But until then I guess I'll have that sag and worn out shocks lol, least until one breaks lol.. Thanks again for the help bud.
