Im sure its been said before, but holy crap, I love the resale values on our trucks. I dont plan on selling mine anytime soon, but holy crap, looking online 05's with 150k for 16k, 08's just like mine for 23k, I do admit I had to hunt a bit to find mine at a good deal. Just nice to know the truck is holding its value.

they're in demand and reliable enough to hold a good resale value

don't be fooled by ads online though, anyone can put any price on the truck, doesnt mean it'll sell for that much though.

try coming to hawaii... 10 year old tacos with 150+ selling for 12-15k :D

Dealerships won't stop calling and sending mail to buy mine back at its book value. Kind of annoying but I can't help but feel great about it!

Back when the whole gas pedal sticking thing happened, I bought my 2007 Off Road 4x4 for 20500. with 39k. I traded 2 years later for 22500 with 51k for my current 2011.
I made money...lol... isnt it great!!

yep, here in AZ they are ridiculously marked up, I searched for a few months ended up driving to phoenix to get my 08 Double Cab Sport with 46k for $18900. Im just amazed, even my celica back in high school (which had over 200k all original powertrain, etc) had this kinda resale.

I just got a letter in the mail from my dealer saying they would basically give me 24,000 for my 09 DC, OR, 4x4 with 30K miles. They assumed it has 37, but I only have 30. I think I could get a little more to an individual but not bad resale to a dealer.

It is a tactic to get you in the door to buy a new Toyota, but pretty cool.

Those offers never seem to work out for me. When you arrive its whole different ball game. They are like what letter?

Looks like the Tacoma looses about 800-1000$ each year in value.. which really is nothing if you think about re-sale value.

I have seen it work one time, my brother listed his 07 4runner sport on Craigslist for sale a local dealer called him he thought hey we're trying to get him to buy a car when he said he didn't need an extra car they gave him a check for his 28k asking price. I'm guessing they had a buyer.

Yea, not bad. My last Yoter was a 97 4Runner. I bought it for $6K, drove it for three years, put 40K miles on it and sold it for $5K. Not bad, and if tried harder I could have got more out of it.

    Stock for now
Yeah they definitely hold their value.
Lately though with the economy, it takes longer to get what you want or KBB pricing selling privately.
Our trucks are definitely sought after.
I ended up returning my truck to stock, trading it in, then selling the parts.
All together I got 20k for my 2006 4x4 DC 65k that needed brakes & new tires
