I got this information from a very useful post in this forum.

Base Steel Wheels: 15x6, +40 mm offset, ? backspacing, 5x4.5" bolt pattern, ? hub bore, ? lbs

My Taco is 05 basic silver access cab 4 cylinder 5 lugs 15 inch stock rims, no mod yet. I like to move up to 16 inch 5 lug wheels. And eventually get 235/70/16 or 235/75/16 highway tires. My questions is: how to look for 16 wheels that will fit my car ?? 16x6 ? 16x6.5 ? 16x7 ? And is the +40mm offset a required spec when i look for a wheel ?? If the stock suspension is setup for +40mm offset, then i dont want to mess with it and i would only look for +40mm offset. Or am i not making sense ?

235/70/16 vs 235/75/16. It's a difference of about 1 inch. How will you pick ? I am going for the look. I need to mention that the truck is getting the Bushwacker pocket style fender flares painted and install this week.

thanks fo any comment .... I am learning so much about tires and rims the last day or two. But i need more ....

Go to TireRack and put your vehicle in there and it will show what will fit, I had 18"s on my truck when it was like yours. Welcome to TW!

Here's a good website for comparing rims to fit on your truck.
    http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp

It gives a good visual for comparing offsets/backspacing between rims. I'm not sure exactly what would fit but 15x8 w/4.5" backspacing has been known to fit so I would think a 16x8 4.5" backspacing should fit too. :notsure:

BTW the hub bore is 60.1 mm.
