I don't have a front bumper yet but I have a rear bumper. I ended up with CBI. I checked out relentless and Armor Tech Offroad(ATO) as well. The customer service and follow up I got from Nathan at CBI was great and that is the main reason I choose them. Not to say the bumper is not stout. Also the quality is great. Build time was reasonable at about 5 weeks and shipping was quicker than expected.
I would check out all 3 websites and their vendor section on here to help narrow down the choice.

I like good customer service for sure. Did you have issues with the other companies customer service?

All Pro's dont seem to hold up to some of the others out there. From what I have read the metal plate is not as thick. Shrockworks makes great stuff but it will probably be a 6 month wait before it ships.

All-Poo's bumpers are made from thinner materials and are not one piece. They don't handle heavy use well. I know several people that have bent or otherwise damaged their AP bumpers with what would be considered "typical" offroad use - although typical offroad use is admittedly very harsh.

Put it this way - I've never seen an ArmorTech, Relentless, CBI Fab, or ARB bumper have a single problem with these activities. The AP bumpers have.

The Body Armor bumpers do not appear to have good fitment - one user on here has a horror story of trying to get his to fit correctly and not rub on his front fenders when the frame flexes.

The more slender a bumper is, typically the better clearance it will have.

No other manufacturer does that. They allegedly did it so that damaged pieces of the bumper could be replaced at lower cost rather than replacing the whole bumper if it's damaged.

The correct question to ask in that scenario is "If it's going to get damaged, why do I want it?"

6 months is a super long time. Maybe for his next birthday.

I did not have any issues with ATO or Relentless. CBI followed back up with me after a few days to make sure I didn't have any other questions. Plus they can custom make you just about anything.

That is great information. Thank you. I wouldn't want my husband to have any installation issues.

Lead time for some of these bumpers might be a good thing to factor in if you really want to have it for his birthday. It shouldn't really be the deciding factor, but if it's a close decision between a few bumpers...

Edit: looks like your already thinking about that...

I think your best bet would be a bumper like relentless fab. Eric is a really cool guy and would work with you well on figuring out what you want. He makes a very good product and his bumpers not only look good, but perform VERY well. Not to mention he won't overcharge you for his product. Aluminum is a very good way to go, light and still very strong, its just gonna cost you more then a steel bumper. Send a message to him and tell him what you are doing and what he reccomends.
