2012 Traction control test

Does anyone know how to test if the traction control is operating correctly? Today was the first time on wet roads and I had a few times with some wheel spin. Once from a stopping turn the wheel spun fairly good. The other was a step out on a 25 MPH corner. I know I am not used to more power going from a 2.7 to a 4.0. On my dads Honda you know when the traction control is working because it uses the anti-lock brakes and makes a horrible sound.

Floor it from a stop on a wet road or another loose surface. The TRAC/VSC light will flash(truck with squiggly lines) and you will hear ABS pump noise. The engine power will also reduce even though you have your foot to the floor.

Not very sporting to fire on an unarmed opponent.

The VSC only seems to engage above 35 mph

It takes a half second or so for the traction control to kick in; it's not instantaneous.

The truck will beep and the light on the dash (squiggly line car light) will flash when it does.

That makes sense as soon as I felt the tire slip I got out of the gas. I will just have to gun it once to see what happens? Isn't the VSC different from the TC? The TC with keep you from burning out? And the VSC helps you regain control in high speed out of control problems? That is in its simplest terms.
