    Don't use this. On this forum several weeks ago, someone was complaining that they used Goo Gone on their paint and it ate through it...

    OP, could it be tree sap? had a similar problem then realized it was sap from a pine

    Use brake fluid and a drywall sanding pad, works to remove paint quickly.

    Looks like it was goof off, not goo gone. My bad. It was on the non painted surface also. If it did that to the grille, I wouldn't trust it on paint either.

    A regular magic eraser will take off clear coat!

    I used it on this spot over the tailpipe and the cleacoat is now gone:(. I havent heard of an automotive magic eraser.

    Should I wash my truck before applying the clay bar? Or just maybe a rinse with the hose

    Clean the truck, dry it off, and then use the quick detailer that it comes with.

    clean it good with soap and water. no need to dry it, use the detailer stuff that comes with it, follow the directions on the kit, then you MUST wax and or seal it after!!!!!!!!

    Just try to remember who was painting and ignoring his over spray, and file a claim with you-re insurance.
