So I need a different front carrier to go to 4:10's in my V6?

First off I wanna say hello to everyone! I'm a newcomer here and I'm loving it so far! I just for my first taco, which I LOVE! 07 AC 6 speed

I want to go to 4:10's because I'll be doing a 3 inch and 33's soon...

Do I need a new front carrier to use gears out of a 2.7 truck?

Yes. you need carrier and R&P. Which means full gear install so you going to need master install kit to set up gears correctly.

 

Yeah 4.10s won't fit on stock front 3.73 carrier.

 

So I can use the R&P from the 4:10 2.7 still as long as i get the different carrier?

Anyone have an idea what a good option for a carrier would be?

 

Would a locker work? Lockrite maybe? Instead of a factory 4 cylinder carrier i mean..
