Has anyone ever participated in the Toyota CAFLOR Industries testing program?

Edit: Caflor sent me a letter asking if I would be interested in allowing them to borrow my truck for one to two weeks to perform emissions testing on a dynamometer. They say they will put on approximately 150 miles. They come and get the truck and provide a rental car with a full tank of gas. They wash and sweep out my truck and clean the windows and return it with a full tank of gas. I also receive a check for $100.00. Just wondering if anyone has ever done this or would consider it unwise to do so.

Interesting. I'm checking here 'cause I got the caflor notice yesterday. The check amount is up to $150 and a tank of gas, plus a tank full in the loaner car.

I don't know if I wanna give up my Toy for a week or two though.

Anyone else heard from these folks?

haha. The smell, yes. Naw, I'm not going to do it, just wondered if anyone had. They will put 150 miles on, not driving, on a dyno. Pickup and delivery provided.

I ended up participating in the CAFLOR program. They had my truck for only four days and drove it 70 miles once it arrived at the test facility in Ann Arbor. I did not respond to their initial inquiry that came with the $100 offer. About three months later the contacted me again offering $150 so I accepted. If you do decide to participate, just make sure that your truck is on empty when they come to get it plus run the tank out in the loaner they provide so you are really getting two tanks of fuel at no charge. Not sure where you are located, but assume you are in sourthern Michigan near Ann Arbor. I would do it again if ever contacted by them.

Not for $150. Not worth it.

Thanks for your response. Haven't tossed out the form to fill out, I may go ahead and do it. If so, I'll post my experience with it.

I just received a letter offering me $200.00, a loaner, gas, and cleaning. I have a 2014 Tundra and live in Ohio it's about 140 miles away from Ann Arbor. Not sure if I'm going to do it.

They offered me $200 and a fill up to test my 2014 FJC. Nope, commiefornia can kiss my butt if they think I'm going to help their CARB commie arse with emission testing to try and catch ANY automakers vehicle that may fail their standards.

This may be being done by Toyota but it is really CARB that is behind it.
