Craigslist remote turbo kit

Found this today. It's a little tempting. Thoughts?

The STS turbo system shouldn't require an intercooler. Ask the seller why he is selling one.

Ok. An intercooler makes the air in the turbo piping cooler. This is all done in the engine compartment. But, because the sts turbo is mounted in place of the muffler, the piping leading back to the engine acts as the intercooler. As the air flows through it, the temp drops.

 

That seems quite likely, but not nearly as effective as the intercooler.

 

STS is a Remote turbo meaning it sits outside the engine compartment. On the 05 Tacoma the Turbo sits behind the cab right under the floor of the bed, it doesnt need an intercooler because its not trapped inside the engine compartment. It also runs an steal braided oil line with a 12v pump to the turbo and back to the valve cover, also since it sits in cooler temps a turbo timer is not needed.
