Glad we could help and glad it was a simple fix and that it didn't happen at a worse place, like in the middle of nowhere.

Good read, as this is happening to me as well (I have another post rolling). I replaced the front calipers as they were pretty rotted but now it looks as though I will be venturing to the rear eventhough the dealership has told me twice that they look fine.

Looks like I will be finding a different place to take this thing for the rear brake work unless someone has a write up.

It's not that hard to do. Jack up the rear and do them one at a time. That way you can use the other one as a reference as to where the parts go.

some m8 bolts and you can back the drums off

Once you get them off, we did it with a screw driver and a couple pairs of pliers in a parking lot.

As Randy said, just reference the other side and do one side at a time.

The biggest PITA is probably adjusting them as that star wheel is a pain to find at first with the drum on anyway.

Oh and hose them down with brakeclean.

And it nose dived? I can understand stopping, but when you pull the e brake while rolling forward, the rear end dips down, not the front (usually.....). Anyways... Glad you figured it out. They should have made these trucks 4 wheel disc....

Yeah sure felt like it had nose dived. My thoughts exactly but I guess stopping causes it regardless of which brakes lock up. ??? beats me!
