Hey i bought my 2011 double cab pre runner 4 banger taco in june with 16 miles on it and I love it! I've already added a nerf bar, 5% tint, roll-n-lock cover, and pioneer dvd player with override switch to use the navi and watch dvds while driving.

Mods for this weekend include: LEDs for the map light, dome light, and license plate, painted black tail and third brake lights and flat black paint for all my emblems.

any other suggestions for me? I'm new to working on cars but I'll try anything with good instructions!

    Thanks in advnace!

Just my $0.02 but don't do plug and play HIDs. If you must have HIDs, put them in a projector housing and retrofit them into your OEM headlights so you don't blind oncoming traffic.

Depending on where you are, you might be able to bribe another member to help you out. I can understand being hesitant to tear into a set of headlights, I certainly was. I ended up purchasing another set of OEM headlights from a member, tearing them apart to do the BHLM (or white HLM in my case) then selling off my headlights for what I bought the others for. I never did the projector retrofit because I've got enough other lights where projectors weren't really necessary. Check out the PIAA Xtreme White bulbs, they're bright, white and no modification necessary for install.

Theretrofitsource.com. If your looking into retrofits. Also there is a thread on the group buy, that just ended. At the website they install some minimoto's and they use a Tacoma in the PDF file. That's what I will be following come January.
