Bolt on Slider thoughts, CBI, All-Pro, others?

The CBI bolt on's you provided to picture of above , do they require drilling as well or do those brackets bolt around the frame rails ?

 

AFAIK they bolt around the frame and "pinch" it with the bolts above, therefore no drilling. Double check that with CBI before you quote me though.

Kickouts are nice. Never needed them until a boulder broke loose on a trail and decided to say hi to my rear passenger door thus leaving a 3 foot long gash. Next set of sliders on my Tacoma WILL have a kick out. For now, my 4runner gets them.

If I ditched my side steps I would get sliders with kick-outs.
1. Looks
2. Aid in accessing the bed/roof
3. Protection (door dings mostly)

so here is a noob question... who makes/where can find DOM, hybrid sliders, weld on or bolt on (bolt on that withstand a bit of a beating that is). and i'm up in the air about the kick out.. i don't really care for them.

I did see one brand, i found in a thread one time, that didn't have a "kick-out" but progressively got wider towards the back... they looked pretty good from the pic i see in my head.

Most all fab shops can order DOM tubing and build hybrid sliders. They can almost all work with you on mounting method as well.

If I was buying hybrid sliders today from fabs that regularly offer them, I would be going with Relentless.

Jlee is doing this with his BAMF brand. It's an interesting compromise between kickouts and straight. I'm interested in seeing what people running them have to say.
