Stay the fuck off TW, then you won't feel like you need to spend money on your truck. Congrats on the taco.

Congrats on the truck, I'm 35 and have a 2006 TRD & it took that long to obtain it. It's great to wanna do things to it and personalize it to make it your own, but there is plenty of time for that. Don't forget what got you that truck in the first place, which was hard work in school and making your parents proud enough to trust you with something like that. I had a 1982 escort for my first vehicle with who knows how many miles on it at your age I bought for $400, it barely got me around but I bought it with my own money. Like others have said, focus on school & enjoy your youth! Save what you can as you go along and do a little at a time, it will pay off in the future.

I would have killed to have a truck like that at 16. My first car at 16 was a 1987 Ford Tempo 4 door.

The only car I had, until I bought my own truck (at the age of 22), was my parents vehicles when they let me borrow them.

I dont feel bad for you. haha. Save money on wheels and just paint yours black. Buy some 5100s for the front and set them at .85 and leave the rear stock.

You will transform your "stockness" truck for under 200 bucks.

I had a 1987 Tempo! Man, what a POS that car was...It had a comfortable interior but that's about the only plus with that car, it had a hesitation problem (fuel related I suspect) and it was so aggravating driving it down the highway, lol. Not one of my favorite vehicles, that's for sure!

    Exactly.

It's amazing how fast life saddles you with responsibilities.

High school.. all I had to do was worry about grades, then I could play as much sports, work as much or as little as I wanted, and hang out with friends or chase skirts.

Simple times, and of course you don't realize it until it's gone.
