Cool mod! Not sure I'd do it for $500 but to each their own!

This would just give me more expensive mirrors to smash on trees...

Very cool thanks for the work you put in and sharing.

Are the mirror "covers" only available in black? I tried to search around on the parts website but had a hard time finding any info. I think the black would probably match best, but my truck is red and I cant imagine if the gloss black would look right. Was wondering what they look like if you dont purchase the "covers".. or if they had a flat black/plastic one for cheaper?

With out the covers are they like the standard Tacoma black SR5 mirror style with just black plastic? Or does the cover actually cover up screws and some internal stuff?

ok that makes sense. I think i will just color match them then, kind of 2 tone effect really it looks like with the black casing that the cover pops into. Thanks for the pic and explanation!

I should go check again. Only thing is that last time I looked around this area, they wanted ~$500 to paint my hood because I have 2 large chips missing from the front edge cause by the stock bug deflector thing. Seemed kind of outrageous. That was at one of the few places that had decent reviews at least.

    Haha so i did.

Yeah I must agree, i like doing it myself. I ended up painting my grille red to match and it came out better than i expected with the cans. I imagine the mirrors would be easier because they are smaller and easier to hold :p I really need to make something like your screen tabled, would be great i imagine. Got a pic of that table??

Do these mirrors have the power fold feature?
I notice that the picture with the wires sticking out the colors don't match the decsription of the wires that are pulled into cab.
    What relay was used?
In the diagram is shows the ACC with add aline fuse panel, what is that?
Very interested in this mod for sure, your night pic is awesome, the courtesy light is great.

I'd be interested in some that have the blinker and courtesy light but don't care about the heated or pwr folding features.
