    Is it possible the other one had a bigger engine that was heavier, thrusting the butt skyward?

    I work for a Toyota dealer in Maryland and these are the specs that we have here...

    2012 Overall Height:

    Regular Cab:
    4x2 = 65.7
    4x4 = 69.9

    Access Cab:
    4x2 = 66.1
    4x4 = 70.3 (prerunner)

    X-Runner Access Cab:
    65.6

    Double Cab:
    4x2 = 66.1
    4x4 = 70.1

    These are stock heights without mods.

    FWIW: The Sport upgrade package has 18" wheels.

    My guess its a combination of the difference between wheels and suspension.

    nah, I didn't count the leaf pack, the dude was sitting in the truck, I felt akward as it was just taking the picture let alone looking underneath.

    It was a 2011 BTW

    I parked next to a Off Road Double cab (Mine is Double cab Sport) at Menards about 2 weeks ago. Mine seemed much higher than the Off Road. I just figured it was due to my leaf TSB and 265/70/17 Nitto's. The Off Road had LED tails so it was newer than mine so I don't think his springs had settled.

    Im getting there......
    I have noticed that also when comparing my offroad to sports parked next to it (before lt)..... my truck is older and had probably settled a bit but is a big difference for sure. Before I did lt I could fit my fist vertically between the tire and front wheel well while sports I have seen you could probably fit >vertical 12oz can of soda. I Have no idea what it is maybe (all the chromed parts) :notsure:

    But seriously youre not crazy its true the sports seem to be a bit higher. I will admit I am quite:jellydance:of the extra sport BRAAPPPPP! factor

    This is true. Last month i was at dealership oil change looking at the new 2012's and they had 4-leaf pack, except for the TRD OR's.

    Should be the same height. After my lift I went to look at some other 2012s and pulled up to some of them to see the difference and they sat the same.

    Check for a block. I was at Universal Toyota in San Antonio looking for a new Tundra and noticed that some of the 4x4s sat REALLY high. At first I thought it had to be options and different suspension packages so I spent some time reading window stickers and looking at shocks thought the wheel well. I was stumped as some were SR5 and some were base. There was even one 4x2 sitting up just as high. I finally crawled under there and all the higher trucks had either black or aluminum blocks. There was no mention of it on the window sticker and no other dealer options were added...shady.

    Don't the sports have the 4leaf pack vs the offroads having the 3 leaf pack?

    I know this thread is old however; I just purchased a 2014 sport dc and a co-worker has a 2013 trd OR dc. I noticed when looking at them that my sport seemed to have more clearance between tire and fender in both front and rear. Finally i got to park beside him today and in fact my side mirror is at least an inch higher than his. And anyone can clearly tell the off road sits much lowerer in the rear. I will look at our leaf packs before i leave today.

    His trd off road 4x4 dc has 3 leaf pack, my sport is 4 pack. And the sport does sit higher than the off road.

    I recently looked at a sport and off road next to Each other in a dealer lot and yup, the sport stood noticeably taller.
