Fellow Tacoma lovers... Please no texting while driving... I saw a lot of drivers now doing it and so many accidents that cause by it. Let's show them we Tacoma drivers are more considerate to ourselves as well as to others. So please, DO NOT TEXT AND DRIVE!!!!

Please share also your bad experience from texting while driving. Maybe it will help some of us here to realize the danger of doing it.

I find its easier when I lean the seat right back and use my feet to steer, then I'm hands free and can look away from the reflections in order to see my cell phone clearer

I wish they would enforce the law more. They say the state has no money - well they might catch up if they start ticketing these offenders. I see sooooo many people here that are holding the phone to their face and they are not focusing on the road. Kids and texting too. If it's that important, pull over and CALL the person. It was so much safer before cell phones.

I hope this doesn't make me sound heartless but people stupid enough to do that shit are usually the firsts to go during the natural selection process. I just don't like it when they take out others with them :(

The problem is: it is pretty hard to enforce in court. Sure the cop can ticket you, and probably should if he/she catches you. But the fact of the matter is, your phone is your property, so they can't easily summon your phone to "prove" you texted or tacomaworld'ed while driving. They could get the info from your carrier, but not likely.

Around here, if you are ticketed for txting/talking, just show up to court and you win.... no way to prove otherwise.

On another note, to the guy who txts and bicycles... I once saw a dude riding a sport bike (wearing no gear) while txting and smoking a damn cigarette if you can believe that.
