    Hey all,

I finally got into the mood and added the rear window rain guard today. At first I didn't think I'd like it but after seeing it in person I love it.

I also attached a picture of the truck itself after it had a much needed bath.

Next step is getting the step-bars installed. They're ordered and have been for about a week now but they won't ship until next week or the week after! ):

I am also hoping to upgrade the wheels soon. Do you have any suggestions? I don't know whether to keep the factory tires and just get different wheels or to upgrade both the wheels and the tires. I am wanting a black wheel.

Let me know what you think.

My advice......wheels and tires at the same time, that way you get what you want. That is what i did and it worked out for the best. I see you are from NC? Rimzone, they are based in NC, close to Charlotte, that is where i got mine.

I would not even care if I didn't have a slider, hell, I can't reach it. He won't love so much in a year or so, when the foam dry rots and comes loose, and that double sided sticky shit from hell won't come off his truck.

I didn't get the guard for what purpose it serves. I got it because I like how it looks. I dont and won't open the back window so it doesn't matter what happens to the water that runs down. And also, an FYI, I never keep a vehicle more than a year so i don't have to worry about the "sticky stuff from hell".

LOL. Casino money is nowhere near enough to get a new car every year. I just come from a very fortunate family. And yes, those are my grandpa's antique cars, we have 14 of them. Chevy's, Desoto's, Packard's, Ford's, an Oldsmobile. . And a few others.

As far as the rain guard goes, my friend Richard has an 08 Taco and his rear window guard is still stuck on there just fine and i think he installed it about 4 months after he got the taco.

If the right double sided tape is used, it will never come off. Anyway OP, I always thought these would look like shit on a Tacoma, but I actually don't think it looks bad! Hey if you like it, its your truck.

And if you have the money, lose the stock tires too. They suck.

Thought about one...also thought about the tape-on, effectiveness, not ever seeing one on a Tacoma & how much it might affect vision thru rear view mirror aspects of it so I didn't bother. Doesn't look bad tho.

No worries. I don't get offended, especially over stuff like that. But thanks anyway.
