I just picked up a 2011 TRD Sport Access Cab in silver this week. I love the truck, but don't really like the scooped hood. It's not enough of an issue that I'd spend much on replacing it, but if a swap is possible, I'd consider that.

If I found someone willing to do so would I need to worry about anything like the model or trim level in terms of compatibility?

I assume the year could vary, but I wouldn't want a replacement hood that was in less than mint condition so that probably rules out anything older. I figure I could trade someone with a 2012 and it would fit, right?

I assume an exact paint match is a bit of a gamble and we'd have to get together to see if it worked.

Any other thoughts or things I should be thinking of? Like I said, it's not critical, just something I'd do if it were pretty easy.

Thank you for the time and the forum. I've learned a ton here.

As far as I can tell everything from '05-'11 is the same with the hoods. I have not had a look at a '12 yet though.

I'm in the same boat with my hood. The scoop is annoying but not a real "issue"

I have a black 2012 DB. I would love to swap hoods. I wonder if they are interchangeable between 11 and 12. I'm in NJ BTW.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
the mounting is probably the same, but there are different body lines headed to the grille, IIRC.
