How the hell does the Wrangler beat the Tacoma? I know its a very popular and off road capable vehicle but lacks way more in reliability.

Wranglers attract more mall crawlers and college girls than Tacomas by far, therefore more market for used Wranglers and higher resale. You're right about reliability though.

As much as I like my 2012 Tacoma I was torn between it and a nice Wrangler. If I were serious about going off road the Wrangler would be in the garage as we speak. Tons, and I mean tons of accessories on the market for them. Certaintly they are not in the same quality league as a Tacoma but for off road use they are superior.

Oh I looked at the Wranglers, even the Grand Cherokees too, never drove one, but I do like them but my the main reasons for the Taco, need a truck, mpg's and most of all holding it's value.
