So after a ton of money, fun, trips galore, and the wife almost crapping her pants on some trail rides I traded in my Jeep Rubicon Unlimited for a 2010 Tacoma DC Offroad with 20k miles in stonewhite. Straight across trade, only payed the dealer $500 for an 80k mile warranty.

I dont have any stock photos because the day I brought the Tacoma home I traded a set of Nitto 37's that were for the jeep to a buddy for his motometal wheels, procomp tires, magnaflow exhaust, revtech lift and TRD cold air intake.

Was that an even trade? I thought Rubicons were pretty pricey?

Welcome to the "other side". I did this about 6 months ago. Traded in my 07 JKU with many mods for a 2011 TRD Offroad DC. Loved the JK and was extremely capable. The only things I miss...
    1. Solid front axle
    2. Departure Angle

Other than that the TRD Offroad is very amazing. I have put it to the test several times in the 6 months I have owned it.

Enjoy the better gas mileage and sports car like interior

Nice! What is the difference in the wife pant crapping issue?

Where is the OP? So many questions. Personally I love the Jeep he's got. Yes they are pricey. Kinda surprised about the even trade. Although that Tacoma is also very nice. 4X4 even. I saw the Call of Duty Jeep Wrangle at the auto show and fell in love. Considering I'm not a big fan of Jeeps, if money were not an issue and wanted a toy for fun, I'd consider this model here. I love my Taco as well but why is a trade from a Jeep to a taco a step up. Especially from a rubicon. The tacoma cant be more capable can it? Just wondering.

Exactly. That Rubicon is far superior for any off road application. Period.....

Never understood why the Jeeps get such crap mileage.

yeah, it wasnt a rubicon, but for the money i saved not getting a rubicon, i got new gears and lockers put in. Other than that quick dis. swaybars. it might as well be a rubi-clone!!! Id say that yes, jeeps are great off road machines. but i dont wheel as much as i did. so the tacoma is definately better. I need the bed to do certain things, plus the ride on the jeep got rough after the 5.5" lift and 37's. That pic was with 35's
