Does anyone know if the rear view camera can be upgraded to display the lines like the new 2012 models?

It's the same, just with IMO annoying red, yellow, and green lines.

Is that to tell you how far you have? Lame, its not hard to see how far you are away from something while looking at the bumper.

    Still trying to decide...
I like it, it has green lines indicating each side of the truck, a dotted green line indicating the centerline of the truck and an intersecting line by the bumber... right where your trailer hitch is. oh and an o-shit to far red line..

when I go to lunch today I'll take a picture...

I only like the ones on the luxury cars, just due to the fact that is alters the lines to accommodate the steering. So if you turn your steering wheel, the lines bend to show a projected path. If the 12's don't do this, I find the lines pointless.

Has anyone figured out if it is possible to remove the lines? How about getting these lines to display with the Entune Screen? My 2012 has the screen in the mirror but it is only used for Temp/Compass. There are menu's but the backup camera comes through stereo screen. I can't get the lines to display and would like them for when connecting my boat trailer.

I would love to have the lines on my 09. They make backing into parking spaces much easier for me.

Any way to get the backup camera view on both the rear view mirror and the entune system? Haven't found a way to get it to show on both. Entune doesn't have the lines and the lines are a nice feature.

Too many to list. See build page. Link in signature
Lines are part of the camera, not the screen. Someone swap an 09+ camera only with a 12' camera, I bet the lines will stay with camera

Lol or you can just learn how to back up without the lines. Wait! Are we not suppose to know how to do that before we get our drivers licences?

You sure about that? First time i've seen that. I'm pretty sure they're built into the screen. I've seen mention of having to be careful if the camera position changes because the lines will be off if it does.
