will stock flares from a longbed fit on a 5' bed?

ok, selling my oem fender flares from my tacoma w/ a 6' bed and found someone who wants them but he's got a 5' bed. told him the rears wouldn't fit. he said "no problem, i'll modify them". does this seem doable?

 

If they're good enough with body work it's doable... It'd be a lot easier to get the correct fender flares though.

 

yeah, i agree christian, but he sounds like a young kid and i don't want to go through the hassle of meeting with him then having it fall thru when he realizes the work that could follow frankly, i wouldn't do it. thanks for the input though.
