After a few close calls with Moose I decided to upgrade my lights. Ive had the Lightforce HID's on for over a year but they did not cover the ditchs were the moose come out from, so I went with two 12 inch Vision X light bars. I really dont care much for the way they look mounted on the truck in this location but they seam to work best there. The amount of light they put out blow the HID's away.

Do the light bars put out more light than the two Light Force lights?

I really see a need for extra lights up here for the same reason you mentioned, moose.

My first mod is adding some sort of extra lighting that goes out to the side as soon as they come out with a light bar or brush guard for the 2012.

looking good man, also you can catch a glimpse of the glowing green eyes, < that always gets my attention up. hopefully not hitting your truck. I live in moose country, i bought a front plate bumper just for that reason. There isn't a day that goes by where i don't see a moose driving into anchorage from the biglake area. The moose just love eating the branches in my yard and my wifes garden.

looks great! and is it just me what. but if you look close i looks like the LED bars are shining farther than the HID? thats what i see looking at the trees in that turn. the led bars are lighting up more of it than the HID. i hope this is not just me. lol
