Does the connector on the 2012 mirror look like it will be easy to get a +12v wire on it for the homelink once the other connector for the compass and backup mirror is in place? I have a 2009 Sport AC I might like to do this mod to.

BTW, I was stranded in Houston last friday night thanks to Continental Airline mechanical. Got to spend the night in the Hilton Houston North... First time in Houston actually outside of the airport.

    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
I added constant power to the 2012 mirror connector in order to get my homelink working... Tapped into the power at the Map lights and ran it to the mirror... I had an extra mirror plug (pinned) so I pulled a wire and pin from the connector and used it to plum power into the mirror's connector....

If you had to splice power into the mirror you could do it without the connector, but there isn't a lot of room for t taps...

I guess I really need to see it.... but it's good to know that it is doable.

So if I install an auto-dimming mirror with homelink, all I'll need to do is hook up a power source to the homelink? everything else will plug in?

The Temp won't work (if you have that in your mirror), but your autodimming will work and homelink will work after you add a power source.

Thanks, I don't really mind the temp not working in the mirror since I already have it.

    Hey guys,
I know this thread is a bit old, but I figured why start another thread on the same topic. I've got a 09 with backup camera in mirror and it has the overhead compass and temp, but the microprocessor burnt out in it. It wasn't the 510 resistor issue that many have experienced. I figured instead of spending 200+ bucks to replace that, why not get a 2012 mirror with all the same stuff plus homelink. Problem is, i've read over 20 different threads now and can't find the part# for the OEM mirror anywhere. Does someone know what the OEM part# is for the 2012 mirror with camera, homelink, temp, compass and auto dim? If so could you post it by chance? Thanks in advance.

Found out what the part# is for this. I figured I would post it in case anyone else is interested.
    Part# 87810-04090
$1000.00+ from Toyota, but I found it online for $552.00 Still pricey.

I am hoping to put a 2012+ mirror with Homelink and temp/compass on the LCD screen into my 2007 DC. HAs anyone else done this and gotten everything working? I know my old temp probe won't work since it is a two-wire probe and the new mirrors use one wire. Is there a one-wire probe that will work?
