My Taco is slow to giving speed? why?

hey guys i have new 2011 toyota Tacoma at about 8,000 miles. yesterday when it finally snowed in Tacoma, WA i decided to take it out for a run. i was in a parking lot , and i turned off the 4x4.. now the next day when im doing my regular driving, it seems like the truck is slow to giving me speed.. i press a little on the pedal and it takes a moment too move sometimes. any ideas?

 

Is it still icy out? Is the VSC/Trac light illuminating on the dash when you step on the gas?

The trac light is not illuminating, and theres no ice.. All melted... Just seemes like the speed kicks in late... Like it takes a few seconds for the gas start doing its thing.. Its happened before the snow as well a coupe of times where i press the gas pedal and in 3 sec it kicks in and gives a jolt...

 

Trans is probably in a tall gear, and takes a moment to downshift and accelerate.

 

have you done any engine mods or exhaust mods recently? It could be your 02 sensors, cat converter, or maybe even your fuel pressure. Those are potential reasons for unresponsive gas pedals. I looked up a thread I remembered reading on TN and linked it here for you and they talk about those issues. What kind of gas do you use? It could also be influenced by your spark plugs. I'm confused tho, because your truck is quite new. Might have to visit the dealer.
