I have a black 2010 Tacoma double cab. Anyone suggest a good tint film to match the back factory tint? I had problems with the greenish hue tint color. Don't like how it doesn't match the rear windows.
Pls post pics and percentage. That would help. I have on solar gard hp supreme 16% all around.

Maybe because you're in HI its the green, here in Mainland its 20% grey.. 3M matches perfectly.. Try 3M, they seem to have the factory specs on most vehicles.. It is expensive though.

There's a thread here that shows the factory percentage and hue for all the toyota models, just search for it..

I think you are referring to the greenish hue to the factory glass. I had an issue with this. Tried two different films that matched the back from a light percentage standpoint but both had a slightly greenish hue in direct sunlight when compared with the back. If I were to do it to the 12 I would probably get the rears done darker and then put 15% on the front to match. This should be dark enough to block out the greenish factory hue.

I have 16% on the two front and 16% over the factor. Still has the green hue. Unless I go 5 % on the front?

Although the State law in Washington is limited to 35% -- the % that matches the facotry back part of the access cab is 20% so that is what I got. The guy that put the tint in told me the potential risk but it looks so darn good!! My sig picture kind of shows it - but I attached another pic. Like others have said - use a NON ammonia based cleaner!! I really like the look of the tint and quality installation is really important!! Enjoy!!

I had 20% 3M tint put on and from the outside it appeared to match the rear windows, but from the inside it seemed darker than the rears. So I went with 35%. I'm much happier with it. With the 20% I could barely see my mirrors at night as well. Seemed too dangerous for just looks, plus the darker in the front thing was kind of annoying.

It is pretty well documented if you search this site that the factory tint on the back windows is roughly equal to like 27%. There is some "tint" to the front windows that makes it look slightly green that when combined with 35% tint will match the rear from a light transmittance standpoint. Now, on an access cab, the size of the rear windows will make it less noticeable that the darker tint (15 or 20) is actually not a match. But if you put 15% on a double cab front windows it will be darker than the rear and when I had this on my 2011 I found it annoying. My best suggestion is to look at all of the tacos you see with the front tinted and when you see one that looks perfect try to flag them down and ask them where they got it done!

I did 3M tint 30% all the way around and 50% on the front glass. Looks good and keeps it cool in the summer. I have had no issues with visibility at night.

The tint shop my dealer uses applies 15% to the front windows and 50% to the rear and claims it matches. Another tint shop said the same. Both use Llumar ATR. I'm having my truck done in the next couple of weeks and I'll post the results.

Had my truck done last Friday with Llumar ATR. 50% on the back and 15% on the front. The front windows are slightly lighter than the back but that doesn't bother me at all.

^^ that 15% in the front looks good, seems like if you look through the side you'll just see a slight shadow of whoever in there right?

I cut some wires here. Added some wires there.
What did everybody pay, if you don't mind me asking? Looking to tint out the front to match the back in the next week or two myself.
