Scan/Ultra gauge question

I have been seeing these for sale in the BST forum lately and I'm a little curious about them (I like that you can get the batt voltage, gas millage). In the long run though, what type of driver needs this? I rarely check any of my OE gauges to be honest (I only look at how much gas and miles i have so I know when to get the oil changed or if my lights are flickering - audio).

 

I bought the Ultraguage because of the price. Initially I purchased because it shows you your driving habits and helps you adjust them to drive more efficiently. You can set alarms for service intervals, monitor engine temp if you're towing (unfortunately it won't monitor transmission temp), and will give you check engine codes.

very true. I hate being vague with my read outs "ya know it's between the "H" and "C" but maybe a littttlleee bit more over to the "H" at times but not always .... imagine saying that to a mechanic lol.

I have a heavy foot, I know that for sure. be nice to see if I am actually making a dif when I try to drive efficiently (no cruise control ) v. hauling ass
