Thought the same thing. Seems to be a lot of those types on TW and driving trucks in general

I was sitting in the patrol car one evening in a parking lot waiting for a partner to arrive when I heard a couple of people walking up on the right rear of the car. I then heard one guy say "F&*$em, I hate cops!" and felt and heard a hit on the right rear door. Dumb SOB kicked the door of the unit. Big size 12-dent in the door. He really crapped his shorts when I jumped out and hooked his butt up for vandalism.

Not the same kind of parking lot door dinger, but that's mine.

Do nerf bars provide protection against door dings? I know some of you have sliders but do the oval nerf bars stick out far enough to protect the vehicle?

So your brother broke the law and damaged someone else's property deliberately? Brilliant.

Just happened to me today and that is why I am thinking about nerf bars. Parked way back in a store parking lot with nothing but empty spaces around me. Came out of the store and a big SUV is parked very close to me. Lucky - no door ding today.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Glad you caught the door dinnger! XD For reasons like this, I take my old 78 Bronco to the store or anyplace where I will be parking next to other vehicles because for one it is so beat up and intimidating looking, nobody really hankers to park next to it anyway! lol

I always park in the back of the parking lot. I don't mind walking a little bit extra distance. I have always noticed that most people who park as close as they can to the front are either in a hurry or just lazy.

Kinda reminds me of the woman who nudged my tire while trying to switch into my lane and acted like it never happened. I stopped looked at my tire, back at her, at my tire and at her again. I noticed there wasn't any damage and drove on.

Happened to me a month ago. My girlfriend was in the truck with me. Some lady pulled up, slammed her door into my passenger door, didn't see us inside (tinted windows), and began to back up really fast. I jumped out of the truck and tried to run in front of her, she froze, then pinned it around me and in a giant circle, out of the parking lot, and down the road.

    Got her license plate number.
    Bitch.

Pretty much. He's an adult and makes his choices and I make mine. I handled it my way him his. Can't say it bothered me much. The guy that hit my truck was an asshole. If he had just said he was sorry then I'd have let it slide. Instead it went the other way.

Nice to see someone get caught. Hopefully she will complain to all her friends and pass along the message that there are consequences for damaging other people's property. Sliders for sure. I have found a couple nicks on my Avids so far but no dings.
