There's been times where I had no choice BUT to make a tight squeeze. I would literally write down the type/color/license # of the car I thought would possibly ding my taco. Then I'd claim a hit & run. Thankfully, I've never had to do this.

 

I intentionally park by douchebags to see if they'll leave a nice mark on my sliders

Oh, yea. That's providing a good example - of how to be just as bad as dastardly door dingers (no respect for others or other people's property, etc).

Accidents happen. We've all done them. A comment (or request for damages if warranted) would suffice. Not need (or justification) for "chewed his ass for a minute" or "a nice dent in his door."

thats about what i do. one time i did it. closest car was like 8 or 9 spots away i ran in wal-mart and came out not 10 min later and their was a car next to me. i was like WTF? you could not park 8 spots closer to the store? lol luckily no dings.

 

The guy dented my truck. I called him on it he was an asshole about it. I showed him all the respect he showed me. If he had said he was sorry then that would have been the end of it. You where not there so you opinion is just that.

 

Then over 3/4 of the forum would be gone. Good idea in that.

If we had it, people wouldn't leave d-bag stuff. I could care less about getting rep'd good or bad everyone is entitled to an opinion. The way they choose to express that is a whole nother issue.

I hate people like that, they make like its nothing. Somebody doored our Tacoma already but we didn't see who it was, small little smudge but still no freakin respect, glad you caught um.

 

I told him; "If you hit my truck again, I WILL EAT YOUR FUCKING LIMBS!!!" (i had just got done watching that arrow to the knee thing in my truck, and thats what came to my head when i spoke). He didnt respond, he sat there in shock

It depends upon the bar you have & the door geometry of the SOB opening into you. If the truck is raised or has the offroad package then nerf bars will be more protective than if you have the base model. My Smittybilt nerf bars do a good job of catching the door dings on my truck with the offroad package.

 

I haven't caught anyone yet... But had people intentionally mess with my X-Runner such as dumping 2 cups of coffee all over the side and windows and another letting the air out of the tires of the X and my friends' 2010 Camaro (We know who did this one)...

There was one instance when I was going to work, I stopped at starbucks and parked as close to the curb as I can. Walking to the truck a guy (in his late 30s, early 40s) comes out of his Lexus LS400 swinging the door hard and fast close to the X, I didn't hear a thud and the door naturally bounced back... I was still quite un happy at the close call knowing if I was parked a few inches further from the curb that would of been a good sized ding.
