Engine light + AUTO LSD light came on...

So I was driving my 09 DCLB home tonight, just now actually as I post this from a rest stop on the Merritt Parkway, and the engine light and AUTO LSD light came on at the same time.

Yes it just snowed here, but I was driving on regular wet pavement when the lights came on. Pulled over to turn off the truck and on again, and the lights remain. I did see the slip indicator go off a few times earlier in the day when there was much more snow on the ground as expected, but this seems to have come out of nowhere.

Why would this be happening...? I have the manual in my lap trying to figure it out but it's no help. It seems to drive just fine but it has me a bit rattled.

Wondering if this will go away on its own or should I bring it by the dealership for them to diagnose it...?

Edit: assuming that means it needs to be flashed and check what code pops then, huh,

 

When an engine light is thrown it stays until reset. If you're under warranty still just take it to the dealership.

Happened to me too. Used an OBD scanner and pulled the code, then reset the CEL. Problem did not reappear. You can look up the code and judge the seriousness of it.
You can borrow the scanners at Napa and some other parts stores too. Plugs in under the dash near your left leg.

 

Yea, I'm at 44k miles. Out of warranty by 9k miles...might try to sweet talk them though. Maybe show some skin, haha

 

Got to truck flashed, codes came back pointing to O2 sensor(s).

How expensive and difficult is it to change it out yourself?

look in the manual the o2 sensor is emissions and might have longer warranty depending on your state.
