Dude... did you watch the videos or read the thread?

Wrong carrier bearing !

The differential carrier bearing is the problem. Can't fix that with a spacer or shim.

Toyota just cast the slot for the side gear into the carrier rather than machining so instead of .005 of an inch we have .050

I know it doesn't answer your question completely but just a little insight. ^^
Little but I dont fully agree with Moose on what vibes are. From what CHase showed its a side gear that becomes so loose that allows axle to wiggle. Needle bearing is not made to hold axle in one location all it does it makes sure axle can rotate. Its the side gear that supposed to not let axle move. (and vibe) Still that does not answer the question how side gear gets loose enough to move, and how come some trucks have side gears that seem to be better machined..

That's still not really the fix or issue. A diff drop will angle the diff forward dropping the front and lessening the angles on the cvs but the problem behind the vibration is that toyota cast the slot for the side gears into the carrier rather than machining so you have lots of slop inside the carrier. Lifting doesn't help it for sure but regardless it's an issue of manufacturing. Other carriers are machined to accept the side gears.

I'd imagine that it's not easy to get precision when you cast the carrier to accept the side gears rather than machine to close tolerances. So some might be .005 and some might be .002 and some might be .0015 etc etc

or maybe it really is the side gears out of spec but I wouldn't think so.

It makes the most sense to me because when lifted 3" I had really bad vibes, Dropped down to just Eibachs (1.5") up front and they got a lot better. Then just to see dropped down to stock height up front and it was gone. Seems to me the less the pressure the less the vibe until flat angles with no pressure and no vibes. Probably why the RCD club is vibe free

Installed my OME this past Saturday and everything went good. A bit higher, just need wheels and tires. Not aligned yet, but did notice a very slight shutter on initial take off. But not noticed at any other speeds so far.

Your takeoff shudder can be fixed with either the CB drop or going to a one piece DS. No biggie.

Did the carrier bearing drop and front diff. drop. Guess I will try to one piece drive-shaft (ds)?? Hope that is what you mean. Thanks for info.
