Heater or AC not working

    I have an 07 Tacoma and my heater or AC doesn't want to work. When it does you can hear it trying to come on but it sputters. I was hoping someone could help me out and think what it would cost. Or how to fix it by myself.

    id start by checking for power to the fan or pull the fan and see if somethings stuck in it
