Glad you are fine. I rolled my lifted 90' 4runner in black ice, that stuff is terrible. Looks like the tacoma handled it well though.

I had a few scares in black ice in my moms old 'cop style' ford crown victoria with worn out tires going down to urbana in illinois. By the time I got there my hands were shaking - I saw about 15 semis, awd vehicles, cars all in ditches. I went over like 10-15 patches of black ice and managed to walk away unscathed. Best thing to do is just release the gas pedal and very very slowly turn the steering wheel to where you want to go. DO not hit the brake and just pray to god that you manage to cover the patch before your car just slowly slides off the road. G' thing you're safe though - on that day a bus of nuns rolled over and died on i-57

yes i had two passengers with me. they were both also fine in the crash. i am ussually pretty good about black ice, it happened so quick and not expected that i didnt have time to do anything but brace for impact.

looks like you bent the floor pan also, from the interior shot...if the frame is OK, a rebuilder will slap a good cab on that.

How much was the truck worth before damage? That is the deciding factor. If your truck is worth 20k or more and the damage was less then that, they will just repair it.

That roof damage will most likely make it totalled, but I would almost buy it back, it is certainly fixable
