LIFT or TRADE for a 2012?

First, I'd like to say "Hey" to all you Tacoma owners out there!
I am a new member and this is my first post!
My plan was to get my truck lifted 6 inches in April but now the 2012 tacomas grew on me! I REALLY like the new look of it but i always dreamed of lifting my 09 since the day i got it.
If you guys were in my situation, what would you do?

 

Check out the trade. See if its worth it.

 

I say, keep the 09 and get A 3" lift with 33s

but decided that i wanted a 6".

 

I'd take my 2012 over my old 09 anyday.....Love the look and the small feature improvements. Just sayin...

I'd say trade it, since you seem to really like the '12's. Might as well build up a truck that you'll be completely happy with, ya know? I love the new green that they have for 2012, Spruce Mica. One of those would look sick with a 6'' lift and 35's or bigger tires. Haha

 

I really like my 2012. I am sure the 2009s were great too though. The radio system in the 12s are pretty sweet. I love the USB port.

I am going to keep it mostly stock for now, no lifts or big tires.

 

your 09 will be paid off sooner.. cheaper insurance, tag IMO I would keep the 09 and lift it.. I have an 06 the trucks last forever why buy a 3year younger truck I mean the 3rd gens will probably come out in 2014 so wait it out.. Just my 2cents

I got my 09 paid off back in November of 2009..
I cant wait 2 years for the 3rd gens, im to unpatient! haha

 

I would stick with the 09. It took you this long to decide, what is stopping you from doing the same with the 12.

After four months you're going to stop waffling, trade in on a 2012.

3 years later after the 2012 is paid off and the warranty's up you're going to be in the same shoes you are now, but you're going to choose the other way and apply a 6" fabtech lift.

You'll post up lots of pics and people will complement you on the look. 18 months later you'll post pics of the "deep stuck" you got in a gigantic mudhole hydrolocking the engine, and bending the frame during the extraction operation.

With the insurance money, you'll trade in on a new Subaru.

And people will *STILL* be voting in this poll...

Keep it and lift. Pay it off, save up money, and buy a house.
