A guy at my work has a lowered Chevy pickup. I asked him why, he says he only has 4 wheel drive for boat ramps. It's not slammed, it sits about the height of a 2 wheel drive. I have noticed his wife is about 5' tall.

Yeah, and the chevy silverado w/t (work truck) model comes lower than a standard one for that reason., so really, a lowered truck helps it serve its purpose more than lifting does.

Anyways... if anyone has pics please post them

Are you serious. That is the most hidious thing i have ever seen. A lifted car is frickn Gay and we laugh at them all the time here in Cali. Yeah how cool a camaro on 24's, That's what i want:rolleyes: NOT! Who in there right mind would lower a 4X4. waste of frickn money if ya ask me. Like the postr said above go get an xrunner and have fun with it. Leave the 4X4's to people that no what they are used for.

It's not like every 4x4 has to go rock crawling. Let's say you like a lowered truck, and you could also use 4x4 for snow, beach, etc. You could buy two trucks....or just lower your 4x4.

For most people a 4x4 truck is nothing more than a 2wd truck that can get them through snow a few times a year if that. I have no desire to have my 5-lug any higher, and it does what a truck is for all the time.

    To each his own.

maybe he dont offroad, with lowering a 4wd you can still drive it like an xrunner, and it will launch harder on a drag strip, and i can bet that if it snows, drivin down the road in a lowered 4wd would be alot easier than lowered xrunner.

Maybe you missed it the first, second, perhaps third time it was mentioned in this thread where stated that the OP didn't offroad and, therefore, did not need it lifted. Not everyone climbs over rocks or blazes through the trails in their trucks. He got a 4X4 for a reason, to ensure he didn't get stuck in the snow. Seems pretty plausible to me. I'd venture to say that he knows what a 4X4 is used for....

I wonder if you had the opposite CV angles (as opposed to lifting) if you would still get the front diff vibe?
