Kicker Bass Station 8

Hello Forum,

I am interested in purchasing the Kicker Bass Station 8" powered sub enclosure for my '08 Double Cab. I currently have the non-jbl stock radio with Pioneer 6x9's up front & 6.5's on the rear doors. This box should fit behind the drivers side rear seat once the plastic panel is removed. I've found good reviews regarding this.

It plays at 100 watts RMS. I'm not sure how many watts the OEM radio puts out but I've been told that it's about 17 watts per channel. This powered sub should provide enough bass without overpowering the stock radio. Any one running this set up or have any info or opinions regarding this? Please share them.

I just bought the 10 inch Kicker Bass Station last night at Best Buy and will have it installed this afternoon. I will let you know tonight. I have read great reviews on it so that is why I went with Kicker.

I purchased mine in late February. 2 weeks later I had a Pioneer 3300UB installed also. I am very happy with the sound. I listen to everything from Metallica & Korn to N.W.A. & Johnny Cash. When I ask people to guess what I have they think it's a 10" in a big box. They are always surprised to see that box. BTW, I removed the plastic storage panels behind the rear seats of my double cab & have more room. Mine is set up directly behind the drivers side rear seat.

 

I got my Bass Station installed this weekend and it thumps perfectly. I am running a Kenwood double din head unit, w/Hertz components in the doors and the 10 inch Kicker behind the seat of my single cab Tacoma Prerunner. The Kicker will not dissapoint. It has the perfect amount of bass for me. Rattles your cab but not the person in the car next to you.

I apologize for not getting back earlier but I boughg my Kicker 8" in March and I decided to replace the stock radio with a Pioneer DEH 3300UB. Your description of the sound is absolutely correct! I am very happy with it and I'm sure your 10" sounds even nicer! Enjoy
