Thinking about buying one, I would like to see what they look like. Tell me what you do or do not like about it. Did it affect your gas mileage any? I tried searching for pics and did not come up with much luck, Thanks

I have a Leer 100XR. Minimal change in fuel economy. Maybe 1/2 MPG difference. Overall I love it. Keeps my dogs from jumping out of the back of the truck. It also has a clean finish with the lip of the shell going over the bed and 1 turn handle to open it instead of 2.
I bought the shell new, it came color matched to the truck, and the cost was approx $1500.

Theres already a huge thread about this, called "show me your shell" but Ill play. Snugtop Rebel, with vented windoors!! Havent noticed a difference in mileage yet, but I've only had it a week. Lockable storage is the best part. And a place for my dogs so they dont have to be in their kennel, or just exposed, that makes me nervous.

Forgot to mention the negative aspect of my shell, and possibly the same for any of the rail mounted shells.
The OEM tie down cleats clear with the shell on but they can't be moved easily. It is worth an investment in the mini tie downs so you can move them to where you need them.

Snugtop Highliner with all the goodies. my gas mileage sucks for multiple reasons right now, :D ...I havent even been keeping track-its too depressing. IMO a good shell is crucial for so many reasons for us outdoorsy boating/skiing/camping types. SO nice to throw a Paco truck pad in there and sleep in the back cozy as can be. and snugtops UNlock from the inside so you can lock yourself in... for that extra little psychological protection.
IMO snugtop is the best topper, but Leer is right there as well. there is a list of things that I thought were superior, and a little bit more affordable, with a better warranty.
