Im having trouble finding anything on the Colorado that is better. And Im not just saying that because I own a tacoma.

Maybe the factory tires are better? not too sure.

the biggest thing that stands out to me that's better on the tacoma is the "Tacoma".
Toyota made it especially for the tacoma, and i've found that nothing on the colorado compares to the "tacoma"

Chrysler/dodge..are you an idiot. try chevy..

Ive had 2 colorados, haven't had a tacoma. My colorado, was great. Push button 4x4 was great. g80 (locking differential) on the 4x4s and 2x4 z71s. Great little truck. Could hold 4 people easily(had the crew cab) You can buy 2 of those for 1 tacoma used.

If Chevrolet, Dodge and Ford all put half the time into their midsize trucks as they do into they're fullsize they might become competition for the Tacoma. But they dont. The big three almost completely ignore this segment and because of that they are no competition.

The only truck out there in this segment that can compete with the Tacoma is the Frontier because Nissan realizes that there is money to be made in this segment, especially with Today's gas prices. Even still, after my experiences with Nissan the Frontier was quickly dismissed, especially after seeing how crap the interior is in the newest body style.

How many threads are you going to start today? Isint this the 6th or 7th in the last hour? The Colorado sucks as most any other GM product does. They should build full size trucks and that's it. You could put a V-12 in a Colorado and it still wouldn't hold a candle to the Toyota. I would trust a Toyota truck from 1993 before I'd buy a Cheby Colorado.:D

Yea, putting bias aside, I don't think there is anything you could point to and say "yea, that's better than the Tacoma." Maybe resale value if you want to buy used you can get Colorado's cheaper if you care about that. V8 sounds good in theory but from what I've seen isn't all that impressive.

Im pretty sure the Colorado has a Isuzu made motor in it. When I was looking to buy a truck I asked techs at my dealer Chevy/Toyota and they all said dont get a Colorado.
