I burn my own from Itunes and add text/data (I forgot how it's worded).

I'm not sure on that exact radio but on other radios I have used in the past you have to burn the disc as a data disc not as an audio disc.

My 2011 stock radio displays text if I play a disc that contains MP3s

    They didn't add mp3 capability until 2009

I've had CD text function from Nero before but sometimes for some reason it wouldn't take. It's more reliable from iTunes. There's an option for it as TDF said.

There aren't too many CDs that have metadata included in them. I know of a couple, most Offspring albums, and the remastered Judas Preist discs have it. But really, if your cd player can't play mp3 or AAC, your best bet is to burn your own CDs putting the data on yourself.

Make sure this has a checkmark when you're burning a CD in iTunes
