So I took my truck into the dealer to take care of the blower motor in the A/c and the overhead compass because the self fix didnt work and I had the warranty. I had them do an oil change for 5 bucks using my oil and filter because i didnt feel like doing it this time (i really didnt have the time) So I get my truck back and I check the bag with the oil and filter in it. the filter is still in it and the oil is still in it. That was full synthetic oil. (the only kind that I put in it) I checked under the hood, and they had their filter on it. I went back in and I got their oil and filter for $5 bucks and asked what kind of oil it was. He looked at my container before answering mobile 1 full synthetic.

Long story short I left, but now my engine is squeaking like crazy when I start it up especially. It is very loud sounds like a beater rolling down the road.

Could this be from them not using full synthetic oil in the truck after I have used full synthetic for 3 years? I have heard there are problems with going back to conventional.

i wouldnt worry about it being the oil. probably a belt like already said. does the pitch of the sound go up and down with the engine rpms?

it is a little up and down but not with the motors rpm. after the motor heats up though its gone. that is the strange part. The belt is covered under warranty? Suhweet.

Maybe they just spilled oil on the belt?

I havent seen any oil on the belt but there is oil under the filter. and it almost looked like there was a pretty little rainbow under my truck the last rain. so Im wondering if there is a leak too. I need to get under it today and check.
